VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We are in dire need of your help.  We have a low number of active members, and less than half are certified for interior firefighting.  All equipment and training are provided to you at no cost.  Serving your community and the residents who live here will have a long lasting effect on your life and the lives of the people you help.  If you are at least 18 years of age and out of high school, of sound mind and body, and a resident of the Town of Somerset with a valid driver's license, you are eligible to join. Remember, there's no experience required since we will train you!  Niagara County Community College even offers FREE tuition to anyone who agrees to commit at least 5 years in a volunteer fire service.  Also, starting in 2007, New York State is offering a $200 income tax credit to any volunteer fire fighter.  Please consider joining, your community depends on it!  Call Chief Jeff Dewert or stop at the Fire Hall any Thursday night between 7PM and  9PM if you are interested.
